Vorbericht: Ankkarock 2008

Festarikesän perinteiset päättäjäiset juhlitaan tänä vuonna 2.-3.8.2008.

Suurin osa Ankkarockin esiintyjistä on nyt selvillä. Vuoden 2008 Ankkarockissa nähdään love metal -yhtye HIM, Pohjoismaissa valtaisaa suosiota nauttiva Kent (SWE) ja riehakkaista keikoistaan tunnettu uusgarage-yhtye The Hives (SWE). Festivaalin muita varmistuneita ulkomaisia vieraita ovat todellinen heavy-legenda W.A.S.P. (USA), psykopunk-yhtye Tiger Army (USA), melodista power metallia soittava Kamelot (USA), Tanskan raskaan musiikin suurin vientivaltti Volbeat (DK) sekä ruotsalaiset metal-yhtyeet Opeth (SWE) ja Soilwork (SWE).

Kotimaisista bändeistä Korsossa soittavat HIMin lisäksi Amorphis, Apocalyptica, Apulanta, Disco Ensemble, Hanoi Rocks, Ismo Alanko Teholla, Kotiteollisuus, Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu, Mokoma, PMMP, Poets of the Fall, Scandinavian Music Group, Sonata Arctica ja Von Hertzen Brothers.

Tämän vuoden Ankka-hahmoksi on valittu Kotiteollisuuden laulaja Jouni Hynynen. Rankka Ankka tulee tuttuun tapaan koristamaan tapahtuman painotuotteiden ohella myös kaikkia kolmea festivaalilavaa.



Ankkarockin 75 euroa maksavat kahden päivän liput ovat myynnissä www.tiketti.fi tai www.ankkarock.fi.
Lauantain festarilippu maksaa 50 euroa ja sunnuntain 40 euroa.

Ankkarock is a Finnish rock-festival taking place in Korso/Vantaa next to Helsinki since 1986.

Line-up for Ankkarock 2008 festival on the first weekend of August, Aug 2nd-3rd, is finished for the most part. The festival summer finale will be headlined by the internationally acclaimed love metal band HIM, Scandinavia's most popular rock band Kent (SWE) and the wildly performing new garage band The Hives (SWE). The bill also features heavy legend W.A.S.P. (USA), rockabilly band Tiger Army (USA), melodic power metal group Kamelot (USA), Denmark's hard music trump card Volbeat (DK) and metal bands Opeth (SWE) and Soilwork (SWE).

In addition to HIM, other confirmed Finnish acts include Amorphis, Apocalyptica, Apulanta, Disco Ensemble, Hanoi Rocks, Ismo Alanko Teholla, Kotiteollisuus, Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu, Mokoma, PMMP, Poets of the Fall, Scandinavian Music Group, Sonata Arctica and Von Hertzen Brothers.

This year's festival mascot, the traditional duck figure, is Jouni Hynynen, who is the singer of the Finnish metal band Kotiteollisuus and a well-known media person. As usual, the duck figure will adorn all Ankkarock-related prints and the three festival stages.

Ankkarock ist ein finnisches Rockfestival in Korso/Vantaa in der Nähe von Helsinki und findet seit 1986 statt.

Das Line-up für Ankkarock 2008, stattfindend am ersten August Wochenende (2. und 3. August), ist größtenteils vollständig. Das Festival-Sommer-Finale wird mit der Love-Metal Band HIM, Skandinaviens bekanntester Rock-Band Kent (SWE) und der wilden Garagenpunk Band The Hives (SWE) gefeiert.
Die Liste beinhaltet auch die Legende W.A.S.P. (USA), die Rockabillyband Tiger Army (USA), Dänemarks Trumpfkarte in Sachen harter Musik Volbeat (DK) und die Metalbands Opeth (SWE) und Soilwork (SWE).

Ausser HIM spielen noch folgende andere finnische Bands: Amorphis, Apocalyptica, Apulanta, Disco Ensemble, Hanoi Rocks, Ismo Alanko Teholla, Kotiteollisuus, Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu, Mokoma, PMMP, Poets of the Fall, Scandinavian Music Group, Sonata Arctica und Von Hertzen Brothers.

Das diesjährige Festivalmaskottchen, die traditionelle Entenfigur, ist Jouni Hynynen, der Sänger der finnischen Metalband Kotiteollisuus und bekannte Medienperson. Wie immer wird die Entenfigur auf allen Ankkarock-verwanten Drucken zu sehen sein, sowie auf allen drei Bühnen.
